Sean is a versatile marketing communications professional with 20 years’ experience in strategy, digital marketing, web development and communications. With a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic insight, Sean is adept at bringing brands to life through compelling narratives and impactful user experiences. His unique skill set helps him to understand client challenges and deliver exceptional results.
Sean's career began as a journalist and editor for The Canadian Press and The Vancouver Province, where he reported on national news and held leadership roles in newsrooms in Toronto and Vancouver. His communications experience was enriched by his work publicizing scientific research at the University of British Columbia and, after returning to Atlantic Canada in 2012, driving engagement in New Brunswick’s health and wellness sectors through compelling storytelling for a non-profit coalition.
Sean launched his own web development firm in 2014 to craft bespoke WordPress websites for clients, before joining the University of New Brunswick in 2016. There he led the re-development of the university’s website architecture and provided training and strategic guidance on web content best practices to the UNB community. Before joining CCGoodwin Consulting, Sean led the marketing team at global biotech company LuminUltra Technologies, where he aligned sales and marketing teams to deliver international advertising campaigns and bolster demand generation programs.
Sean holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing from the University of New Brunswick. His technical proficiencies include Google Ads and Google Analytics, Salesforce, WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite. Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he enjoys canoeing, hiking, fishing and foraging for wild food when not solving complex marketing problems.
